Savings in summer

In the summer, the focus is on reducing the so-called perceived temperature, which relies on the fact that airflow around the body allows for faster evaporation of sweat from the skin's surface. When we are in a hot environment, our body tries to maintain a stable body temperature and responds by sweating. As the sweat evaporates from the skin's surface, heat is released, which helps cool the body. However, if the air around us is static, sweat doesn't evaporate as quickly, which can lead to a feeling of heat and discomfort. But when there is airflow around us, it allows for faster evaporation of sweat, thereby reducing body temperature and perceived temperature.

The resulting savings are directly proportional to the desired comfort of people in the space. By making people feel more comfortable with the HVLS fan, there is no need to cool the space to as low a temperature as would be required with traditional air conditioning alone. With our fan, you can increase the thermostat setting by 3-5°C, and the resulting perceived effect will be the same.

This can lead to savings of 30-50% on cooling costs.
